Statkraft chose Nomentia as a partner for setting up an in-house bank

Nomentia, a leading cash management solution provider announces today that Statkraft has chosen Nomentia as a partner to create their in-house bank to enable its treasury function to support Statkrafts strategic growth ambitions.

In addition to using Nomentia’s In-house Bank solution, Statkraft will also implement a Payment Factory in over 20 countries (such as Albania, Turkey, and later on Brazil) as well as solutions for cash visibility and forecasting.

Traditionally, operations at Statkraft were concentrated in the Nordics, Germany, and the UK, and the need for consolidated cash positions was covered by an external bank solution with only a few secure host-to-host connections. In recent years, Statkraft has embarked on a growth mission requiring the system to change to support more diverse functional and technical requirements.

“Statkraft presented high cash management expertise during the process, and we warmly welcome them as our latest customer and look forward to an exciting project. This agreement strengthens our leading position in the Nordics, and demonstrates a growing trend in the treasury & finance market favoring best-of-breed strategy over choosing monolithic solutions” says Nomentia's CEO Jukka Sallinen.
